Short version: Your major doesn't matter. You aren't presupposed to be one thing or another.
We're looking for smart, driven, strategic, creative people who insist upon being the best and won't settle for the status quo. We don't look first at professional experience or degrees when we're looking for new team members. We have as diverse a collection of educational backgrounds as you can imagine. While your area of study and the place you went to school are certainly important, we're much more interested in your ability to accurately and quickly solve problems and drive change for Epic and our customers. We're more interested in how you can challenge us to become better at what we do than in what it says on your diploma.
While we have some positions that require certain proficiencies and levels of technical understanding (it's best if our developers know how to write code, after all), many of our employees join us in technical positions and learn all of their technical skills after they join Epic. If you have the brains and the ability to solve problems, we'll give you the tools and teach you the skills you need to put your talents to work and achieve at the highest levels.
